GMC Terrain SLE & SLT

We’ll kick off this review with the GMC Terrain SLE and SLT trims. These two trims offer a number of similar features.

Both come equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that gets 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that offers smooth, effortless shifting. When properly equipped, you'll have a maximum towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.

Inside, you’ll find seating for five with premium stain-resistant cloth seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls.

Two screens will give you information during your drive. The first is a 4.2-inch diagonal multi-color driver information screen that is standard on both the SLE and SLT.

The next is an 8-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System located on your dashboard. This is where you’ll access everything from entertainment options like Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ to Bluetooth® hands-free phone calls.

It’ll also be your window to what’s behind you. When you’re backing up, this screen will show you a live image from the Rear Vision Camera system.

These two trims and all higher trim levels come with GMC Pro Safety, a suite of features that includes Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert, and Following Distance Indicator.

GMC Terrain AT4

The GMC Terrain AT4 includes all of the previous features from the SLE and SLT trims, including the same engine and the GMC Pro Safety suite.

You get AT4-exclusive Goodyear® sport terrain tires, a front steel skid plate, and Traction Select System with Off-Road Mode. Inside, you’ll get a unique AT4 interior that includes a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel.

GMC Terrain Denali

The final trim is the GMC Terrain Denali. In addition to the same features that you have seen on the earlier trim levels, there are many upgrades to your interior, technology, and safety.

The standard leather seats are now fitted with this trim’s unique Denali piping along the stitching, plus the Denali logo on all the front headrests.

The technology gets an upgrade, too, ranging from infotainment to your driver-assistance features. Your dashboard now has the 8-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System with Navigation and OnStar® & GMC Connected Services.

More protection and all-around awareness come standard on the GMC Terrain Denali. Every side will be covered with driver-assistance features, like:
