One of Nobelsville’s most popular holiday traditions has returned for a season of festive fun! The Federal Hill Commons Ice Plaza is official back for the holiday season, and there are a lot of fun activities and events taking place this year that the whole family is sure to enjoy.

Gone Skating

Whether you are looking for a fun activity to do with the kids or a holiday-themed date, the Federal Hill Commons Ice Plaza is the place to go. With the main attraction being the open-air ice rink of course, you and your family, friends, or significant other can grab a pair of skates and head out onto the ice. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own skates either, they have rentals that you can use.

With various hours throughout the week, you can stop by for an evening skate during the week or head by for some laps around the rink during a Saturday afternoon. You can even skate for a little, go grab lunch nearby, do some shopping, and then come back and skate that same day without any additional cost.

No matter if you are a beginner or a seasoned skater, you’ll have a ton of fun getting a skate in under the stars or sun!

Santa, I Know Him!

After you and the kids have spent some time skating, you can head into the Christmas Cottage to warm up. While you are in there, your kids may also spot a familiar face: Santa!

Each weekend, Santa will make a stop during his busy schedule to meet with any kids who come by. Your children can meet jolly old Saint Nick and even tell him what they hope to find this year underneath the tree on Christmas morning. Feel free to also bring your camera and take your own pictures of your kids with Santa!

Come During One of Their Themed Nights

The Federal Hill Commons Ice Plaza also hosts a variety of different themed nights that you can plan to join in on as well. They have various fundraiser nights that help different local organizations and schools, so be sure to come support the local community during one of these nights.

They have also done a toy drive in the past, which is a way for them to help collect presents to give to families in need.
